Beauty in the beast!!!

Beauty in the beast... King of the jungle, so dangerous, strong and powerful yet so majestic and magnificent. 

The story behind this particular painting was the time when there was some cruelty case which I came across and although it was not related to lion but it was inhumanity towards stray animals, where people poisoned few dogs just to get rid of the population. The bad news everywhere disturbed me a lot in those few days which made me dream about something related to it.

So the dream was: which I can still remember since it was so vivid and real that I got up crying like a baby. I have gone for a wild life safari where few people were discussing to hunt a tiger or lion, while they were talking I overheard and got a little concerned and asked the authorities if it is legal. They all said that I must be overthinking and this is a complete non hunting zone. The other morning I got up to the weird sound while I came running down from my room only to see 5 to 6 men trying to kill the lion and while the lion was taking his last breath I shouted to stop them and one man stabbed him in his heart with a long spear. While I fall down in front to look at that scene thinking that the lion must have entered the premises and it was self defense, they might have to kill him but then a man whose face I still remember took out a knife to cut his ear smiling while staring right through my eyes and with a smirk on his face. While I could not move, he came close to say, "This was a perfect hunt, slow death to the king of the jungle" and he left from there laughing at my face. I was covered in sweat when I opened my eyes just to see this was just a bad dream. I cried my heart out since it felt so real, when I was calm all I could think about was that beautiful beast and I decided to paint it with 2 different eye color as it was in my dream. 

This is an acrylic series painting. 3 x 3 ft, it is a combination of 4 different size of canvases joined to make a series like a jigsaw puzzle. The background is a combination of primary colors and with paint brush strokes in a different directions. The hair is in completely imaginative colors to give it even more dramatic look.
